It's only fitting that the month of Thanksgiving should also be reserved as Native American Heritage Month  .

For without the already existing Natives living for centuries in any given area of our beautiful country, survival of the arriving Europeans undoubtedly was bleak at best. The Natives shared their foods and taught their new neighbors survival skills that were much needed for the time of the year and specific to the area the new arrivals chose to set up their homes.

To celebrate the rich heritage of these proud people, there will be a presentation of the film, "Beat of the Drum" this Wednesday, November 9th at Fulton Hall at Salisbury University.  The Documentary highlights four high profile First Nations Songwriters & Performers. There will also be a roundtable  panel for comments on the film and to answer any questions that need answering.

It's all being sponsored by the Public Humanities Program of the Fulton School of Liberal Arts and the History Department at SU.  Come out and take in all the history and rich culture of the "First Nations" people!
